Concern about bomb at credit union proves unfounded

A local resident told Vienna police on May 26 at 10:20 a.m. that he had overheard two people inside a public-transportation vehicle talking about a bomb left at Navy Federal Credit Union, 820 Follin Lane, S.E.

Officers went to the credit union and alerted its security team.

Authorities later determined the facility was safe, police said.
