The Arlington County government’s fall Environmental Collection and Recycling Event (E-CARE) will be held on Saturday, Oct. 8 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the parking lot of Wakefield High School.

The biannual event is being held for the first time at Wakefield.

Participants can safely dispose of hazardous household materials and old electronics, accessing the drop-off center at South Columbus Street and South George Mason Drive.

The event is for Arlington residents only; those taking part should bring a photo ID or utility bill to confirm residence. Metal items and bicycles will not be accepted at this event.
