Assault on police #3: ‘John Doe’ attempts to bite officer

Must Read

On Nov. 25 at 11:51 a.m., an officer on patrol in the 1500 block of Wilson Boulevard was flagged down by employees of a business, who reported there was an individual allegedly making threats in the vicinity.

Another officer observed the suspect nearby and detained him on a charge of public drunkenness.

When officers attempted to search the suspect, he kicked an officer and a patrol vehicle, then attempted to bit an officer multiple times, police said. The suspect refused to identify himself, and initial attempts to determine his identity were unsuccessful.

The suspect – entered into court records as John Doe – was arrested and charged with two counts of assault-and-battery on law enforcement, as well as obstruction of justice and drunk in public. He was held without bond.
