On Nov. 26 at 10:16 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of South Hayes Street to assist with the removal of an individual described as intoxicated from within a closed business.
The individual was uncooperative and attempted to flee, and after being placed in custody, continued to act disorderly and spat at officers, police said. While being transported to a local hospital for medical clearance prior to booking, the suspect bit an officer’s finger, and later refused to exit the transport vehicle.
The suspect – 26-year-old Michael Webb Jr. of Landover – was arrested and charged with two counts of assault on police and drunk in public. He also was served with a warrant out of Fairfax County.
