Arlington Public Schools leaders have canceled classed today, despite forecasting yesterday that classrooms, which have been shuttered for nearly three weeks, would be operating on time.
The reason? From the Arlington Public Schools Website: “The primary and neighborhood roads in Arlington are clear and our schools are ready; however, due to the closure of most neighboring school divisions and the impact of those closures on our staffing, APS will also be closed.”
With snow on the horizon tonight, a closure tomorrow would bring a full week out of classes due to weather on top of two weeks out over the Christmas break.
