Arlington man arrested in Vienna burglaries

Vienna police officers on Oct. 1 at 4:45 a.m. responded to the report of a suspicious man in the 1000 block of Fairway Drive, N.E. Residents in the area told police that their security cameras showed the man approaching parked vehicles and entering carports.

Officers located the man in the 900 block of Fairway Drive, N.E. Upon interacting with the man, officers detected signs of impairment and found he was in possession of property that did not belong to him.

Police arrested the 22-year-old Arlington man and took him to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where authorities charged him with four counts of credit-card theft, entering a vehicle with intent to commit a crime, petty larceny, drunk in public and possession of a narcotic.

Police on Oct. 5 obtained and served additional warrants on the man charging him with a second count of entering a vehicle with intent to commit a crime and a second count of petty larceny.
