County Board members on Jan. 25 ratified a contract update with County Manager Mark Schwartz, keeping him on board for another year.
Schwartz has served as county manager since 2016, succeeding Barbara Donnellan. In the interregnum between Donnellan’s departure and his formal appointment, he served as interim county manager.
Schwartz has been on the county staff since 2005, having previously served as director of the Department of Management and Finance and a deputy county manager.
Board members on Jan. 25 also reappointed two other employees who report directly to them – their clerk and auditor.

The contract amendments all were backdated to Jan. 1.
