On Oct. 26 at 1 p.m., an individual entered a business in the 700 lock of North Glebe Road and began concealing merchandise, Arlington police said.
A store employee observed the suspect and attempted to stop him from leaving. The suspect struck the employee in the head and exited with the merchandise, police said.
Arriving officers located the suspect – 41-year-old Charles Simms of the District of Columbia – who was arrested and charged with robbery by force and possession of a Schedule I controlled narcotic, and also was served with an outstanding warrant out of the Arlington County Sheriff’s Office.
He was held without bond.
