9/11 remembrance ceremony set for Great Falls

Must Read

The annual 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony will be held on Sunday, Sept. 11 at 5 p.m. at the Great Falls Freedom Memorial, adjacent to Great Falls Library.

The event honors the six Great Falls residents who were killed in the 2001 terrorist attack, as well as all the others who died or suffered.

The event will feature patriotic songs by the U.S. Army 29th Infantry Division Band, a Boy Scout color guard, a bagpipe performance of “Amazing Grace” by Great Falls student MacPhearson Strassberg, a keynote speech, a “Taps” bugler and a candlelight vigil.

Parking is available at the library. In case of rain, the ceremony will move inside the library.

Limited seating and shelter will be provided, but attendees are encouraged to bring portable chairs.

Updates will be posted at www.gffreedom.org.
